I’ve heard it said that Jesus is all I need. But he is not all that I need and he is not just what I need. Jesus is MORE than I need. He is greater than anything I face and nothing is impossible to him! Likewise, he is more than the answer to whatever you face. He is more than the longing that keeps you awake at night. He is more than everything that looks like it can fill you up. He offers more, much more than I am asking for.
To the woman of Samaria who he asked for a drink of water, he offered much more—he offered her living water. Water she could drink of and never be thirsty again. He told his disciples that he had come to give them more than life; he came to give life, more abundantly. In the face of temptation, he offers me to be more than a conqueror.
